Kimberly is the Managing Director and Principal Advisor for Mitchem Rasmussen ("MR"). Commuting between Washington, DC and Miami Beach, she oversees the day to day operations of the firm with an emphasis on client development and global growth. Additionally, Kimberly is the Political Director and Founder of the Political Institute for Women ("PIW"). Prior to launching PIW and MR, Kimberly was a Director of Development for The White House Project. In this position, she was responsible for the organization’s corporate partnerships and development for the southern United States.
Kimberly brings 20 years of legal, business, political, entrepreneurial and non-profit experience to her current roles. She is known for her incisiveness, wit, energy, straightforward "southern" delivery and unflinching determination to empower women and girls. Months after founding PIW she was inspired by her daughter, Ryen, to create the Girls in Politics Initiative ("GIP") which introduces girls to politics as early as the age of 8.
